Houston, Texas: BP reflects on one year after Hurricane Harvey

BP America employees have come together with the wider Houston community to reflect on the devastation of Hurricane Harvey one year later.

The rebuilding and renovating continues at BP’s Houston headquarters, where 12 million gallons of water flooded in after the hurricane.

BP donated 200,000 gallons of fuel following Hurricane Harvey, plus a $750,000 contribution distributed evenly between the United Way, the Red Cross and the Greater Houston Community Foundation.

BP America Chairman and President Susan Dio said, “The phrase ‘Houston Strong’ really means a lot to me. I was tremendously inspired by how our people came together and how the company supported all of us.”
