If you’re hitting the road this Thanksgiving, you’ll have plenty of company.  More than 54 million fellow travelers, in fact, according to AAA.

Not surprisingly, most of us who are going somewhere for the holiday, will be going by car (about 48.5 million).  Another 4.27 million will be hopping a plane.  The rest of us travelers?  A train, a bus or even a ferry boat.

Oh, and since AAA’s estimate only includes people traveling 50 miles or more from home, odds are there will be a lot more of us out there on the roads during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.  Luckily, there’s plenty of fuel for all those journeys, across the country or just across town.

So Happy Thanksgiving, wherever you might be sitting down to dinner.
